We are a biblically based Church. That is, we accept the 66 books of the Holy Bible as inspired by the Holy Spirit, so that the Bible is in its entirety the Word of God, completely reliable and trustworthy, and without error or contradiction. We receive the Bible, as God’s Word, as the only authority for determining our faith (or doctrine) and our daily conduct.
We are also a confessional church, and our membership is confessional. Both our church leaders and our mature members have professed the Reformed faith by publicly acknowledging the veracity of the three ecumenical confessions (the Apostles Creed, the Nicene Creed and the Athanasian Creed), as well as the Belgic Confession(1561), the Heidelberg Catechism (1563) and Canons of Dort (1618-19).
